Cala de Santa Ponsa is a large bay with rocky headlands on both sides. The main attraction is the 900 m long sandy beach, at the end of the bay in front of the holiday resort of the same name. It is up to 50 m wide and is divided in the middle by a park-like pine grove. On the northern shore there are a number of mid-range hotels.

Santa Ponsa is where King James I of Aragon ( Jaume in Catalan) landed on September 12, 1229 in his successful quest to conquer the island and take it from the Moors after more than 300 years of Muslim rule. Majorca became part of the Crown of Aragon following James's conquest, and was later annexed to the Monarchy of Spain.

Hola.por el paseo no, pero si te gusta mucho andar puedes ir hasta Palmanova, calculo que hay unos 6 km. yo prefiero hacerlo en coche y disfrutar de la playa porque no tienes mucho que ver de camino.
